Marcia Kuperberg originally studied art in Sydney, Australia, and came to London in the '60s. Her career stretches over 30 years and encompasses book and advertising layout and design, art direction, filmmaking, animation, computer graphics and teaching.
In the mid '70s she studied live action filming (16 and 35 mm) and traditional cel animation at The London International Film School. Her animation shorts (some traditionally drawn on paper and cel, shot in 35 mm. others computer animated) have appeared on tv and in major film festivals worldwide, including Annecy, The London Film Festival, Los Angeles, Chicago Children's International Film Festival, Bilbao, Cracow, Tours, Melbourne.

In the late '80s whilst working as a design lecturer at West Herts College,Watford, UK, she collaborated with Spaceward Microsystems R & D team to create new 2D animation compositing software for their Supernova systems, and studied with the late Professor John Lansdown, well known pioneer in the computer graphics field, at Middlesex University. This entailed the creation of an experimental video combining live action with computer animation – the evil teapot! The video was an early example of low cost desktop technology for computer animation (3D Studio release 1 for DOS), and was edited with one of the earliest NLE software packages available for the PC (Eidos Optima). Marcia was Head of the School of Media Communications at West Herts College, teaching computer graphics and animation and is now at Harrow College, teaching art and design.
